Abstract

Ocular injury is the most common worldwide cause of monocular visual impairment and blindness. Globe rupture is a common sight-threatening ophthalmic emergency and merits prompt diagnosis and immediate management. The successful management of 02 cases of open globe injury with varying etiology and grading as per the BETT classification in 11 yrs old boy and 75 yr old male through prompt assessment of the type and extent of the injury coupled with timely and meticulous intervention. These cases highlight the importance of immediate primary repair of an open globe injury which can improve the likely visual and anatomical outcomes for these patients.
