Abstract
Neovascularisation(NV) is a fundamental element of post inflammatory healing process in all parts of the body and continues as long as appropriate angiogenic stimulus is present. In the eye, stimulus is from hypoxic retina, inflamed retina or inflammatory cells themselves. The retinal findings can be retinal neovascularization , collaterals , retinal AV malformation , intraretinal microvascular abnormalities (IRMA) . Hereby presenting a rare case scenario of an 18 year old male with idiopathic epiretinal neovascularisation and premature posterior vitreous detachment secondary to inflammation, leading to curling of neovascularisation onto itself mimicking migration of epiretinal neovascularisation at the macula without any further diminution of vision for 3 years. Importance of multimodal imaging is highlighted in diagnosing this idiopathic epiretinal NV which is not associated with LHEP(lamellar hole associated epiretinal proliferation) or PFT(Para Foveal Telangiectasia) .
