Abstract
Background: Conjunctival inclusion cysts are benign cyst filled with serous fluid lined by non-keratinized epithelium.
Methods: A 51-year-old male patient with history of cataract surgery left eye 7 months back presented with small growth in left eye associated with foreign body sensation. Visual acuity in right eye was 6/12 and in left eye 6/9. Ocular examination showed a solitary cystic lesion at superior limbus overlying the previous scleral tunnel incision.
Treatment: Under local anaesthesia, the cyst was completely dissected with the reconstruction of the sclerocorneal defect and result was confirmed histopathologically. At 3 months followup,no recurrence was noted.
Conclusion: Meticulous care to be taken during reflection of the conjunctiva before scleral wound construction and adequate hydration of side port at the end of surgery to be done.
