Abstract
A 11-year-old female child from kayalpattinam presented with c/o prominence of left eyeball for 4 months with no h/o pain, redness, visual disturbances. O / E vision in BE 6/6 with RE findings within normal limit. LE showed axial proptosis with fullness over lacrimal gland region with palpable mass. Provisionally the diagnosis of lacrimal gland tumour was made. CT orbit showed 21x28x16 mm mass lesion in superolateral quadrant of left orbit S/O lacrimal gland tumour; Lateral Orbitotomy was done under GA and mass was removed in toto and sent for HPE. Biopsy showed f/o Adenoid cystic carcinoma; Systemic screening was done and no e/o systemic metastasis. She was referred to oncologist for further management. She underwent 6 cycles of Proton therapy. Clinically patient improved well. We are presenting this case because of rare presentation of Adenoid cystic carcinoma in children.
