Abstract
INTRODUCTION: Retinal hemangioblastoma, also called retinal capillary angioma, is a benign neoplasm with vascular features originating in the neurosensory retina. CASE SUMMARY: 15 year old male presented with blurring of vision in left eye since 1 year. He has been diagnosed with cerebellar hemangioblastoma and referred for ocular examination. No family history. Vision in RE is 6/6 and LE is FCCF with PR accurate. IOP in both eyes is normal. Anterior segment findings in both eyes is normal. On fundus examination, small angiomas were detected in RE which were lasered on admission and LE showed presence of Multiple Retinal Angiomas with combined tractional and exudative retinal detachment. INVESTIGATIONS: OPTOS CP has been done. CONCLUSION: It can be inferred from above scenario that VHL with ocular features can be easily picked up in Optos cp and early treatment with laser therapy can prevent it from progressing into later stages which can lead to poor visual prognosis.
