Abstract
Case Reort: A 15 year old female presented with diminution of vision in both eyes since 1 week. Best corrected visual acuity(BCVA) of both eyes was counting finger at 2 metres. Anterior Segment was normal and Fundus of both eyes showed papilloedema along with Exudative Retinal Detachment(RD) and choroidal patches. Systemic findings revealed hypertension,fatigue,swelling over both upper and lower limbs,brown papules on both legs. Diagnosis of both eyes Grade IV Hypertensive Retinopathy+Choroidopathy with Exudative RD was made. Medicine Referral was done. Blood examination showed anemia,deranged Renal function test,increased CRP. Results showed positive for antinuclear and anti ds-DNA antibody. She was managed with Rituximab and i/v Steroids. Subsequently BCVA in Right Eye improved to 6/6 while the Left Eye was same.
Conclusion:A Rare Presentation of SLE with both Retinopathy and Choroidopathy leading to Exudative Retinal Detachment.
