Abstract

Cycloodialysis celft is a separation of the ciliary body from the scleral spur creating a direct connection between the anterior chamber and the suprachoroidal space increasing the aqueous outflow.Many close spontaneously but which dont lead to chronic hypotony with maculopathy,optic disc deem and decreased visual acuity. The causes for hypotony after trauma can be retinal detachment,anterior PVR, ciliary body shock and a cyclodialysis cleft.Medical management includes cycloplegics,steroids,laser therapy,cryopexy with or without gas tamponade and surgically anterior scleral buckling or suturing haptic of three piece IOL.

Most of the techniques described are for small cyclodialysis cleft however we show a novel technique for repair of large cyclodialysis cleft known as the “Sewing Machine technique” successfully done in our patients with recovery of intraocular pressure
