Abstract
Scleral fixation using 9-0 or 10-0 prolene suture is a common technique used for implantation of intraocular lens in absence of adequate capsular support. We present a case where patient presented with subluxation of sutured SFIOL,10 years back following trivial trauma. Nasal haptic had subluxated however the temporal haptic was in place. Intraoperatively partial thickness scleral groove was made on the nasal side, IOL was lifted on Iris. Temporal paracentesis was made. 9-0 prolene suture on straight needle was passed through the scleral groove & through eyelet on haptic of the iol. The suture was externalized the temporally. The haptic was replaced in sulcus. The prolene needle was railroaded and taken out of the eye while passing over the IOL haptic. The knot was tied in 3-1-1 manner and it was buried in scleral groove. Patient had excellent visual outcome. In conclusion internal refixation can of Subluxated sutured iol be done using this simple technique.
