Abstract
Cataract is a major cause of visual impairment in the general population especially in asian countries. Cataract surgery is the bread and butter of an ophthalmology resident. Surgical training for the residents is an important aspect of their armamentarium but has been impacted hugely by Novel Corona Virus 2019 all across the globe. In the past couple of years residents have got lesser surgical opportunities to learn the SICS technique. The online surgical contents have provided great exposure and learning opportunities. One standout instrument which is very helpful for beginners in learning SICS is Ranjan MSICS marker. Its use is demonstrated in the video alongwith capsulorhexis attempt by resident doctor. A good beginning with sclerocorneal tunnel and tissue handling acts as a confidence booster for the resident to complete the case.
