A 20 years old female presented with partial aniridia and a partially absorbed cataractous lens. After staining the capsule with trypan blue dye, a continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis was made and phaco-emulsification was done. Thick plaque was noted on the anterior capsule that was left undisturbed. A posterior capsular plaque was noted that was peeled with sinskey hook and microforceps. A single piece IOL was placed in the bag followed by aspiration of the viscoelastic. Margins of the anterior capsular plaque were trimmed using cutter. The surgery ended with a well centred IOL.
