Abstract
AIM: To highlight Basic step by step approach for Aurolab Aqueous Drainage Implant surgery METHODS: AADI a non-valved tube implant is used to treat refractory glaucoma. This video-based skill transfer depicts details of each step of AADI surgery with key points and authors experience regarding intraoperative difficulties and decoding the solutions for management. There are many techniques for fixing the plate & placing the implant as per surgeon’s discretion like, long scleral tunnel tract, sclera flap technique, suture less technique, needle guided sulcus placement and AADI with scleral or lamellar corneal patch graft which authors have described with video. Early IOP management procedures like Venting slits & supramid to occlude the tube are used in high-risk cases. CONCLUSION: Though AADI surgery has steep learning curve, this step-by-step surgical guide will help the novice surgeon to attain accurate tube placement & avoid complications.
