Abstract
This is a case of nucleus drop S/p trauma planned for a vitrectomy with nucleus removal (using the new Vacuum assisted levitation method )with the implantation of a new design CM T flex IOL. It is specially designed for aphakia that has some advantages over the other secondary IOLs available as there is no need to tuck the haptics or suture them because of the specially designed T shaped haptic when externalized opens up and prevents it from falling back . Using the high vacuum the lens bag complex is held and brought up to the anterior chamber. Clear corneal tunnel is made and using the vectis the nucleus is delivered by sandwich technique.CMT flex Iol is injected, it is brought out through the sclerostomy ,using the hand shake technique the second haptic is transferred using the other praniv T flex forceps and brought out. The flaps are Glued .The patient post op was un eventfull and had a good visual recovery and a well centered IOL .
