Abstract

A 62 year old non-myopic female presented to us with diminution of vision in LE [BCVA of 6/24(P) ] since 3 months. She was diagnosed elsewhere as CSCR. fundus examination showed bullous macular detachment. An EDI OCT showed a macular schisis with retinoschisis involving the fovea with no optic disc pit. Patient was started on topical Dorzolamide eye drops. FFA showed a hyperfloresence in late phase s/o leakage around the inferotemporal arcade. A macula detailed OCT showed a small opening with multi-layered retinoschisis with a connection to subretinal space with no vitreous traction on retinal surface. The patient underwent PPV with ILMP using Over The Hill technique and C3F8 Gas tamponade.Post-surgery, macular schisis with retinoschisis resolved with resultant full thickness macular hole with vision of 6/60.

The aim of this video is to present a rare case of Non Myopic macular schisis with retinoschisis and to demonstrate the Over the Hill technique of ILMP done in this case.
