Abstract
Dr. (Mrs.) RADHIKA TANDON
Evidence based medicine is increasingly becoming widely accepted as a systematic logical approach to patient care supported by strength of data in decision making. Ophthalmologists are faced with a variety of options in various aspects of clinical practice and decision making balancing all aspects can be challenging and daunting. Medico-legal implications add another layer of complexity in the decision making process. There are various aspects of corneal disorders where there may be considerable variations in opinion and options and clinicians are faced with the difficult task of making the right choices and being able to explain and support the options as and when required. There is a bewildering array of investigative, medical and surgical treatment modalities and making the right choices can be daunting and intimidating. A sound knowledge of data available and the ability to distil the information in everyday care in handling corneal disorders achieving best outcomes.
