Rheology is a fascinating aspect of intraoperative intraocular dynamics. All the effects of phacodynamics at phaco tip aimed at cataractous lens is mediated via the intervening ocular viscoelastic devices. Cohesive and dispersive viscoelastics behave differently. Complete understanding of viscodynamics is as important as understanding phacodynamics. This video aims at explaining the role of ocular viscoelastic devices in affecting the movement of nuclear fragments as well as its interaction with phaco energy.
